Opening arguments are set to being Thursday in the trial of former Salem Housing Authority director Dr. Isaac A. Young.
Young is charged with releasing confidential documents in an apparent attempt to derail the campaign of current Salem City Mayor Charles A. Washington in 2012.
Young’s first trial for the charge was declared a mistrial by Superior Court Judge Timothy Farrell.
A jury was seated Wednesday, and attorneys for both sides are expected to give their opening arguments Thursday morning.
