VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the SART and DVRT
Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
Salem County Women’s Services is providing a FREE training to those who are interested in becoming a volunteer for the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
Members of SART travel to Salem or Elmer hospitals to provide advocacy, support, and information for those who are receiving the sexual assault forensic examination
Volunteers must be 18 years or older and are required to:
- Complete a volunteer application
- Complete the 40-hour victim advocate training
- Have a valid driver’s license and your own transportation
- Have a criminal background check and be fingerprinted
- Be responsible for handling on-call rotation/schedule for after-hours calls (nights, weekends)
Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT)
Salem County Women’s Services is providing a FREE training to those who are interested in becoming a volunteer for the Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT)
Members of DVRT travel to police stations in Salem County to provide advocacy, support, and information for those who are seeking a restraining order
Volunteers must be 18 years or older and are required to:
- Complete a volunteer application
- Have a valid driver’s license and your own transportation
- Have a criminal background check and be fingerprinted
- Be responsible for handling on-call rotation/schedule for after-hours calls (nights, weekends)
